John Szalan

Sir John has been training at East Coast Tae Kwon Do since the early 1980’s. He has used tae kwon do to improve his physical and mental health despite having 6 feet of his intestines removed due to Crohn’s Disease.

Sir John is not only dedicated to training, but also to teaching and can be seen several days a week teaching one of the many children’s classes at East Coast Tae Kwon Do. Sir John is also a Plastics Engineer and is the owner of EDCO Industries Inc. in Bridgeport, CT. Sir John’s 2 sons are also both black belts at East Coast Tae Kwon Do.
